Language Education

If you want to work in linguistics, translation or literacy, consider studying Greek or Hebrew. If you are interested in a specific area of the world, study its national or trade language.

In college, taking a course such as Introduction to Linguistics is a good start. Take Phonetics right off the bat... and any other linguistics courses you can get into. Look for a school with a good applied linguistics program.
