Why Bible Translation?
The numbers are staggering
2,286 of the world's languages still need the Scriptures translated. More than 270 million people are without one word of the Bible in the language that speaks to their heart.
The message is clear
"Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone, everywhere"Mark 16:15, NLT
But without the translated Word of God, how can everyone understand the message?
The future is hopeful
The pace of translation has accelerated faster than ever. Today, one translation is begun about every five days. Our vision is to see a Bible translation program begun in every lanugage still needing one by the year 2025. With God's help, it can be done.
